There are two different headlight switches for Vanagon: Early: # 251-941-531M (1980-1990) Late: # 251-941-531T (1989-1991)
From the front they look and function identically. However, they are slightly but significantly different on the back....

Built well! Looks like its OEM! My original works fine, but has it's moments. I got one as a backup.
