Soiree Collection Blackberry Truffles

Wow! The gift that keeps on giving! An early purchase for Father's Day gifting... still celebrating my near 80 year old dark-chocolate-loving Dad. Why wait for the Father's Day date? Purchased three from the Soiree Truffle Collection: Cherry Pop, Blackberry and Honey Fig. Blackberry box opened today. (Cherry Pop opened sometime after May 18th or so- we have each enjoyed one almost every other day - haha stretching out the box). My Dad and I find the truffle collection extraordinary! Following the Vosge recommendations... I take a moment to behold the truffle in the palm of my hand letting it come to room temp (we're warming up here so boxes stored in fridge). Next inhale deeply and take in its essence through the senses before nibbling a small bite to allow the explosion of blackberry flavor to hit the palate. Deep dark chocolate with a tart sweetness of the blackberry - a delightful treat! My Dad has tried tastings according to the Vosges process however today upon opening the Blackberry Truffle box he let his wild inner child out and popped it into his mouth whole...grinning like a little kid.
