The Bone Harp (EBOOK)

Not as compelling as other works.

Great book, really enjoyed the kind of fairytale-like vibe it had!

I loved parts of this, but not everything. Particularly, I didn't like part 2, and I didn't like Klara. This weird 'wound' she had is never really explained, and apparently, it's why she is silent and dark and icy, but quite frankly, that doesn't make for an attractive character. She comes across as sullen and boring, and part 2 didn't make me like her, instead it served as backstory of Tamsin and clarification at most. I think it was meant to be poetic. Didn't work for me. Fortunately, I did really like part 1 and 3. Tamsin was a dear, and I loved his interactions with River and Ash. It was very sweet. In part 3, the interactions with villagers were also lovely, and his homecoming was very emotional. I can see myself rereading this, but I'll probably skip part 2 when I do...
