Kling-On Ultra Guitar Top Protector

A Good Solution

Out of concern for the Canadian red cedar face of a newly-acquired Jose Rodriguez guitar, I sought a minimally invasive tap plate. The Kling-on has filled that need quite nicely. It adheres well but leaves no trace when removed, and it was a simple matter to adjust the shape slightly using a pair of sharp scissors.

Pretty Good Protection

It sticks to the body very well. I don't really notice any negative impact on the guitar's overall resonance. Also, it’s perfect for sticking behind the bridge to protect the body from accidental scratches while changing strings

Can't recommend

I purchased the Kling-On Ultra to protect an expensive French polish classical guitar during string changes. I decided on this product because of positive reviews. The piece that fits below the bridge was not effective at all. After the string change I removed the Kling-On protector and there were multiple tiny dents. There was no string breakage or significant accidents or hits. The only area that has the dings is directly under where the piece fits. Next string change I will just fashion some cardboard to protect the top.
