Unbelievable
The first hour is a little ho-hum, with a jogging scene that seems to last 30 minutes and various kumite shenanigans. Entertainingly fiesty lead character with mustache and puffy hair (to give him a few extra inches, obviously). But the last half hour? Magnificent. Worth every penny. Great release. Thank you VS.

The first 40 minutes or so are pretty rough - a fairly incoherent prelude that has almost nothing to do with the rest of the film, and then stock characters and situations. And then things kick into over-drive with a fairly spectacular car chase, that morphs into a motorcycle chase, that then morphs into a foot chase - with remarkably good on-location cinematography that rivals nearly every other movie made in the '70s for making you 'feel' like you're in the '70s! Nice liner-notes booklet and slipcase as expected from the VS team. This one, despite the opening half of the film, is definitely worth revisiting!

Bob Chaney Greatness
Blind buy here, but based on the description and trailer, this was exactly the sort of movie I love. And I am not disappointed here. It's bizarre, outrageous and tons of fun. I remember Bob Chaney from ads in the back of comic books and martial arts mags from the 70's and 80's and it's great to finally see him in action. The transfer is great. Definitely worth you time if you love cheesy martial arts flicks.
