The Golden Child

This is an 80’s, special effects, fantasy Eddie Murphy comedy. It’s fantastic. It’s a feel good movie well executed and beautifully presented. This is a good good move. Not a so bad it’s good move. Very well done and packaged. Worth a spot in the shelf, definitely.

An enjoyable and amusing fantasy, well worth watching

I bought this movie with my laserdisc player way back when, and I still love watching it today! Very funny movie. Eddie Murphy peaks during his 80's movies here. While his character is indistinguishable from earlier movies, his timing is almost flawless with perfect partners and foils. Couple this with the hypnotic beauty of Charlotte Lewis, this makes for a fun rainy day action-comedy flick.

Classic!

I know for some this was a controversial mainstream movie for VS to release, but I was happy to see it. Classic Eddie Murphy with special effects and one liners but now with a VS touch. Movie looked and sounded great! Nice sturdy thick box. No cast special features but interesting special FX folks and writer features.
