finicky but rewarding brewer

SOFI requires some patience and experimentation, but produces brews of exceptional clarity and flavor separation---especially for lighter roasts. (1) The metal body gets _hot_. Use a "cooler sleeve" to both protect your fingers and get better heat retention during the brew. The rubber gasket that comes with SOFI is not enough. (2) Grind very fine. Use an aeropress-like paper filter if the flow rate seems too fast. (3) For non-milk drinks, try brewing a full 220-250cc in SOFI itself (instead of brewing a 90cc shot and diluting it afterwards).

Indian coffee maker

Well made and sturdy. Came with great instructions and a declump whisk tool that you need to assemble. Made some chicory coffee (makes about 4 oz concentrated coffee), added cream and sugar and it was silky and flavorful. Takes about 10-12 minutes to make.
