Men's Drylock 18.5" Boardshort - Emerald Fade

Very well made, fit great!

A fine all-purpose board short.

The front/back seams are stitched, as are the fly and waistband. The fly is smooth and flat on the inside (no loose stretchy cloth) and the waistband, on the inside, has a sort of plastic coating with perforations, obviously intended to be just sticky enough to help hold the waistband in place. Everything else is bonded construction, including the pocket which is smooth on both the inside and outside. Key spots have tape patches (as at the hem, where the black meets blue). The hem (or lack of hem) is laser cut rather than bonded. There are no metal bits to potentially scratch boards. The laces are a bit sticky to discourage coming untied. This construction is about as sophisticated as any I’ve seen, minus bloopers (e. g. flies) that I’ve seen elsewhere. I admit to being partial to 16-17 inch old-school non-stretch shiny nylon for swimming. This is an outstanding general purpose short, and also less expensive than similar alternatives. BTW, the pocket is obviously on the side, good for holding a wallet at the supermarket. The pocket extends to the rear, going right past the side seam.
