I e foil so the interior holds body heat much better that my older suit. Went yesterday and the air was 19degrees and I was comfortable

Sealed up and warm

Barely felt the cold water at all on a recent paddle out. Felt completely sealed up. The 5-4 is thicker, and makes paddling a little more of chore, but that helps warm ya up. Hooded on the duck dives felt like I was wearing a helmet and kind of made a big one landing on my head enjoyable with the muffled sound. Hoping it will last 3-4 winter seasons, so let's see.

Great First Wetsuit

This was my first wetsuit purchase and I used it for the first time last weekend in 55 degree water. I stayed perfectly comfortable the whole time, and I haven’t been able not to doubt that it will keep me toasty when I surf in colder east coast waters this winter. I used it with the hood down without any problems at all. In fact, I forgot that the hood was even there. It was a little hard to get out of, but I’m sure a big part of that was due to my inexperience.
