I mailed Willy regarding replacement tweeters and he came back the same morning with some very useful information. I then stumbled across this ferrofluid in the shop and figured I may as well attempt a fix before outright replacing the tweeters, and sure enough this has done the trick. It's a very easy mod (at least for my old tweeters that come apart easily) and it has brought them back to life and brightened up the sound. I can't thank Willy enough, this will definitely be my first port of call with anything else audio related.

TDL STUDIO 1 FERROFLUID REPLACEMENT

Very easy to do on this model speaker as no soldering is required. Made a noticeable improvement. Well worth the effort and cost.

Ferrofluid Syringe is ideal.

Has fixed the slight grainy sound on my old Mission 771s. The tweeter had a stain on the back suggesting the fluid had escaped. Make sure you release(unsolder) the coil wires before splitting the tweeter. Audax have replacement tweeters TM025C1 albeit 8 ohm which is another way to go.
