Arts and Crafts Shirt

Art deco gorgeous!

I’d been eyeing this shirt for some time and took advantage of the educators sale over the Labor Day holiday to snap it up. It’s a vibrant pattern that has art deco vibes and makes an impression. Zuri shirts are becoming a staple in my wardrobe and this one has already gotten me compliments!

Amazing quality and service as usual. However was charged £40 import tax for bringing two shirts into the UK which adds to the price and makes them less affordable.

Me and the Willaim Morris wallpaper

The moment I spotted this I felt a pang of desire, though I waited a long time to add it to my bag. I felt that it was very well named, since the pattern recalled the Arts and Crafts movement (especially the work of Willaim Morris). The color combination (with a mustardy brown batik-like "crackle" behind the stylized flowers) had a subtlety that turned out to be flattering on me, not like wallpaper at all. I have only worn it "out" a couple of times, so far, but it commands interest and respect. The material is on the stiffish side so far, which I like, though I know it will relax after a few washings. No fit problems, but I do order a larger size in shirts than in dresses. I am 5'2" so it is quite long on me.
