Jeffrey Pine- Landscape, Woodland or Bonsai

Trees were healthy, which is good, but their roots were a mess. I tried teasing them out and they were super thick which isn’t necessarily an issue but they were all coming from one thick root on the bottom. There was trunk going all the way down with no roots on it which was strange. I still expect them to be fine I just think it’s a strange quirk of the tree. Thanks!
