My new Cut & Hold Telescopic Pruner doesn’t open and close after one time use
My new Cut & Hold Telescopic Pruner doesn’t open and close. I had used it for one day after I received it to cut and remove lily pads out of my garden ponds. Yesterday I extended the telescopic pole to increase the length of the tool, and the pruners didn't open or close when I used the handle. I shortened the pole back to its original length, and tried changing positions of the pivoting head, but the pruners still didn't work. I didn’t force or twist the poles.
I’ve had it for less than a month and only used it for one day. The tool was very useful for reaching the plants in my ponds, and I had bought it on the recommendation of the landscaping pond maintenance manager. Maybe the supplier has changed manufacturers recently, because the pond landscaping manager uses these same pruners and they work well for him.

this is our second telescopic pruner. last one did work for many years (10+) but the last breakage just was not worth trying to fix. Glad to get a new one. This tool is invaluable!

It’s a keeper
So far I like it. I was able to clear some poison ivy from around my black raspberries withoutgetting close to it. I’ve also pruned a few branches up above my head. I got the saw attachment and tried it out. I’ve not got the technique down yet but I’m sure it will come in handy.
