I do a lot of machine embroidery, and I frequently had time to watch the thread flopping around between the spool and the take-up lever. It was clear that a guide would prevent the "flops" from becoming tangles, and so I purchased my first thread guide. Sure enough, the thread ran smoothly with nary a flop or tangle.., in an exceedingly satisfactory smooth stream. When I upgraded from my 780 to a 790 Pro, I left the thread guide on the 780 so that the new owner would have the same success with thread that I have. Now you should ask how I feel about Jeff's magic tweezers, which are literally never out of my hands when I am embroidering. I would write volumes of praise. But then, I guess everyone who purchases the tweezers feels the same way...

Love it I was not having the issues some were experiencing when I saw this add on I decided an ounce of prevention was my direction! Works great I use lots of cone thread so this will help!

WORKS GREAT!!!! exactly what I was looking for as I tend to use large cones that do not fit on the machine but I pull from the cone on the table. This helps to guide the thread into the tension area instead of just loosely hanging. Highly recommend it.
