De'Longhi Dedica/SMEG 51mm Bottomless Portafilter (Black)

This is a high quality piece of kit. It feels solid in the hand, with a smooth handle and good finish. It slots into my Dedica machine with ease. I bought it with the gold basket, which not only looks amazing, but appears finely made. What I think doesn't belong in this review is how well it makes coffee in any particular machine. There are too many factors which go into it to make any definitive statements. I will say, though, that I'm still figuring out how best to use this portafilter to get the best output. It's not a magic bullet, in other words, in spite of its physical qualities.

Excellent quality, and just a beautiful accessory

Excellent quality, beautifully finished in satin black. Sits nice and flat on my tamping mat and has saved me from buying a new machine. The lack of accessories for 51mm portafilter machines is over.

Awesome addition to my coffee making

Has changed my little Dedica into a much better coffee machine. I was able to use it to dial in my grind, tamping etc so I get a nice stream. Has made a big difference
