Weeping Flowering Cherry

It's definately weeping

I saw the same trees briefly at the local home depot for 1/10th the price (literally around $69 for what looked like a ~5' tree). When I saw that, I hoped this one would be at least as tall and come with a better chance of planting success (i.e., be healthier). Instead, I paid 10x more, waited several months for an uncertain delivery date, and received a tree that looks really sad. I sincerely hope it takes well to the ground, but after a few weeks, I don't see much evidence that it will. It came with fertilizer, which is nice, but no other care instructions. I thought that strange, because I had a lot of questions about how much to water, how often, where best to plan, etc. Worst case scenario, we have a nice Charlie Brown Christmas.
