Octo 4yr Review & Why I bought the 2026 Octo?

4 Year review: I bought my first Octothorpe (2022 Charcoal/Black/coyote) for my birthday. It is now 4 years old. During the four years I have crammed my ‘22, under airplane seats & stuffed into car-trunks for approx 380 rounds of golf on about 60 courses across multiple states and countries. My ’22 is still in perfect condition, no wear on zippers, stitching or fabric. I use the rainfly during winter to protect against the mud and dirt of the PNW. I hand-wash it 1x times a year as needed. The ‘22 looks great and its quality holds up. I have had several other styles/brands they worr out and are not as comfortable carrying 20+ discs and gear. So why did I buy a new one? Feature-wise my 2026 (Steel/Black/red Octo) bag is a little bigger with refinement on the pockets and disc storage. But let me be honest, I wanted the excitement of owning another Pound Bag. I wanted a 2nd one to choose from when I head out to play. I love the new colorway. I get compliments on the course from players on how nice it looks. During a recent round a cardmate tried on my ‘26 Octo and admitted he made a mistake buying the “s”brand and regretted not buying Pound. Unlike premium fashion (purses, clothes,luggage etc) products that rely on big brand marketing for their appeal, disc golf bags need to be heavy-duty and have a attention to design functionality. This more than just a brand name. Do the right thing, live without regrets and get a “Hand-made in USA” Pound Bag”. It is worth it.

Phenomenal bag. Comfortable even when heavy, durable and clearly made with care. The only thing I miss is a front-flap single disc pocket, but that's more than made up for in the hearty top-pocket which comfortably holds five putters and a driver.

The bag is solid but could be improved

The bag is solid. Like the thickness of shoulder pads. Main compartment could be improved with all the room above discs. Feel like top compartment could be deeper. The side pockets are all great.
