4.5" Peperomia Prostrata 'String of Turtles' (Hanging Basket)

My turtle plant arrived in soil that was absolutely drenched and halfway sticking out of the pot, which wouldn’t be an issue but I can’t touch the strings without losing a great deal of turtles (I read this to be a sign of overwatering). Had some extremely mushy leaves. Bottom watering probably would’ve been a better call for this specific plant. The strings themselves were also twisted and wrapped in a weird cluster that I haven’t been able to separate. You would think that, with how delicate and prone to breakage this plant appears to be, this would be packaged in such a way that promotes some kind of direction and care with separation of strings following arrival in mind. I can’t tell the condition of this plant closer to the soil without feeling as though I’m losing 20-30 turtles, minimum, with every tiny and gentle adjustment. Edit: they reached out to me with a replacement. It was shipped in the exact, same manner. But their service is good (I’ll edit my stars from 2 to 4)

It took a little while before it shipped, but worth the wait! Arrived healthy and the packing was impressive. I cant imagine that this is an easy plant to ship, but when I unpacked it, it was healthy and some of the strings were already 3 feet long from a small plant. It's settling in nicely!

Update: After posting my original review, the company reached out to me directly and provided a partial refund, which I genuinely appreciated. Their customer service was very kind and responsive without me even having to contact them first. I do still think it’s important for buyers to understand that the 4.5” listing photos show much longer trailing vines than what I personally received, so if you are purchasing mainly for the hanging/trailing appearance, just keep expectations realistic. That said, the plant itself was still healthy, and every other plant I’ve ordered from them has met or exceeded my expectations.
