4" Variegated Alocasia 'Frydek'

Plant was very happy upon arrival. Packed tightly in packing peanuts and double wrapped. Arrived about a week ago and already sprouting a new leaf. Does not show signs of pests. Will most likely be purchasing more plants from this company.

I have gotten variegated Frydeks from a couple different nurseries. It’s one of my favorite plants. The two that I received from BWH are the best condition I have received yet. Even through the acclamation process, they have stood strong and beautiful, no weeping, no browning, no fallen leaves. Literally perfect!

This was my first time ordering plants online to ship and I wasn't quiet sure what to expect. The box was pretty beat up when it arrived about 3 weeks after my order was placed (I know the shipping isn't the grower's fault). The plants were a good size for the price but very beat up and dried out from the shipping. So far across 6 frydek plants I've lost 15 leaves. 5 of the plants are seemingly going to make it but the other doesn't seem to want to bounce back. I may try a drastic big chop on it to see if that helps. Overall I think the prices for the size of the plants was great, but I'm worried about ever shipping alocasia again. Maybe something hardier like hoya next time.
