Hau 'oli - Non-Toxic Nail Polish

Perfect Silvery Pink Shimmer

I love love love Kapa Nui! There is no offensive odor (no migraines!), it dries faster than regular polish (no lines, scratches, or dents in your polish in the morning when you wake up after doing your nails the night before), and it actually lasts over a week without chipping! This color (Hau'oli) took a bit of trial and error on my end to learn the application process but I quickly figured out that the fine glitter in the polish settles into ridges super easily. It's best applied over one of Kapa Nui's translucent polishes like Uhi or Noe'ula so that your natural nail isn't too rough. Using a layer or two of a translucent color adds a bit of slip for the glitter to glide smoothly over. It also sparkles best when you use the shine top coat. By itself, Hau'oli dries out very thinly with a slightly rough shimmer feel that can seem dull if you put lotion on so the addition of a shine top coat added a thicker, stronger layer on top to protect my nails while letting the shimmer shine. I really hope Kapa Nui adds more shimmery shades in the future because they have a new customer for life. I absolutely cannot deal with the fumes of regular polish anymore because it makes me sick so I FINALLY can paint my nails again with Kapa Nui!
