Slip on? No way...
Slip on? No way - I have to sit down, pull on the tab, or use a shoe horn. Waterproof - yes, perfect for early morning dew buster activities. Comfortable - definitely, a nice snug fit. I like them, but next time I will buy a pair of slip ones that I can actually slip on.

Very comfortable but definitely glad I sized up
Very comfortable, but definitely glad I went up a half size. Could have almost gone up another half size still. I expect they will get easier to pull on as I break them in.

I debated to keep or return but decided to keep hoping for the best
I debated as to whether I should send this pair of shoes back or keep them. They are extremely hard to put on with a very rigid open area to insert the foot. In addition, once the front of the foot is in the shoe even using a shoe horn they are still very difficult to put in the heel of the foot. I have used a shoe stretcher for a slight increase pressure to try to get the overall fit to improve and I have made some progress. I am using a very thin sock as well. I think that this particular shoe is narrow as well but the length is correct.
