I thought this would end up being one of my favorites from the samples I purchased, but surprisingly it wasn't. To be honest when I first opened the bottle I audibly said, "Eww!" Then a moment later I found myself thinking, "Oh... hmm... Interesting."
At first I got a strong blast of alcohol, citrus, and even a faint hint of formaldehyde which is interesting because I don't think any of those notes are actually listed in the fragrance. After a few moments though, it transformed into a caramel vanilla pudding scent that was quite lovely. Once it settled I also really enjoyed the gunpowder note.
What I appreciated most was how complex and surprising the fragrance felt. It constantly shifted as it developed on my skin, taking me from mild disgust to genuine enjoyment.
It's definitely something I'd wear from time to time, but not something I'd purchase a full bottle of.

When I first smelled this, I got the image of my Abuelita putting on her Vanderbilt perfume. Which I own after her passing. Smells powdery but I believe it's the incense and Almond mixing together. On my skin I smell something similar to a vanilla box cake hot out of the oven, and have flowers arranged around the kitchen. I get very nostalgic smelling this, I will for sure be getting the full bottle.
