Wonderful (large) pen
This is a longer pen than I thought it would be. Gorgeously polished ebonite is great. The stub was a good choice, but I also ordered an ultra-flex nib unit to see how it works.

Big Fun!
I just received my pen today. I rinsed it out and then inked it up with diamine red dragon ink. I chose the maroon black ebonite finish and I must say it’s a stunner! I particularly like it’s subdued earthy red color that’s pretty evenly mixed with the black swirls. It has a nice polished finish and it writes wonderfully! Very smooth with a lot of flex. I’m using the converter so far, but will probably eventually switch over to using it as an eye dropper. The only drawback to purchasing this pen is that now I really want another!

Man do I love this nib
It took some futzing, but I understand that's the deal with ultra flex nibs. I had some initial blorbing. Blorping? Blotching? Anyway, I heat set the nib and now it's not an issue. The pen itself is lovely - a pleasure to look at and hold. I practiced writing Dungeon Crawler Carl quotes using modern calligraphy with it last night and really enjoyed it.
