Large pen at an amazing price

I bought this pen in dark brown woodgrain for my nephew as his first fountain pen. He's a very tall, athletic guy with large hands and I wanted something that would fit him and be comfortable for him. He loves it! When I was researching larger sized pens, they seemed to go up significantly in price with the size. This is pretty darn big for an amazing value. The finish looks fantastic. All the pieces are well tooled to fit together solidly. The converter has an extra large capacity and is nicely designed. It can post but I think there's a possibility that doing so aggressively would damage the finish over time. I think as long as the cap isn't jammed onto the end, it should be fine. The convertor's plunger had a tiny manufacturing defect and FPR was amazing to work with to get a replacement converter delivered quickly.

I enjoyed my first pen in matte black so much I decided to purchase two more with the FPR flex nib.

A little bigger, with more heft, perfect with FPR flex nib!
