Incredibly sweet
These buns were quite nice and thankfully I didn't pour the pot of syrup over them because they are unbelievably sweet without it. Might try warming one and pouring a little custard over it.

Not to our taste, they were unlike any of the Chelsea buns we've had before, including homemade ones. The spice mix was underwhelming and verging on unpleasant.
