NK87 Plates

Awesome plate, I must admit that the standoff on the left side of the plate is crooked which offsets the plate and subsequently all of the switches slightly. I was able to make it work and had it not been such a task to disassemble the board I may have reached out to support.

Nice substantial polycarbonate plate— not thin and brittle like a lot of cheap gasket mounted boards use. Softens the board’s sound a bit without deadening it too much. Does have fitment issues with the NK87 AE’s plate dampener just like the product page says it will.

This made me realize I don’t like copper as a plate material. Like aluminum but totally dead— the sheer weight of it eats resonance more effectively than any foam or silicone. It’s a well-machined piece of hardware otherwise, and weighs more than some of my cheap keyboards!
