Umi 8" Chef's Knife — Japanese VG10 Damascus Steel with Abalone Shell Handle

Its a reorder so we love it.

The knife looks stunning. However I cannot say much about the durability because I've only had it for about a week. But I will say that the price was a little bit higher than I expected. I believe the lines on the blade are laser etched. I am not too sure if this is a high grade steel. And second thoughts on this knife, I don't know if it is worth over $100. I would have been more comfortable if it was a little bit less.

it was a gift for some dear friends. when i first saw it i thought it was so sleek looking i thought maybe we want one too. my friends say they always lash and dry and put it away right away , to sharp for there two year old. they have an eleven year old who is a cake chef in the making, she has been using it for all kinds of incredible creations.
