Just what I needed! I can see clearly now.

In the past few months I've been working on learning watchmaking; doing maintenance and basic repairs. What's been the most difficult about my new hobby has been seeing the "capped" jewels well enough to actually open and manipulate them. This all began when I discovered others with a similar interest were making YouTube videos showing the efforts. For me it was fascinating and encouraged me to try my hand at it. But those jewels are so small! The YouTubers handled this by using some form of a microscope. I put off buying one because for me it seemed expensive for what I'm doing, and in doing so I was blocked from getting past so many points in the work. I finally realized that either I would buy a microscope or give the hobby up. AmScope makes one of the recommended microscopes used in some of the videos. I checked their website and found some great pieces of equipment for very reasonable prices. I selected a 5x to 30x power stereo 'scope, as going above that level of magnification for what I'm working on would not have helped me. The AmScope arrived quickly by FedEx, was shipped free and extremely well packed for the trip. My new AmScope microscope immediately impressed me for how well-made it appeared as I unboxed it and set it up. Everything I had ordered was in the box and the setup was done in just a few minutes. I was looking at my different in-progress watch movements in no time. Honestly, I have to say that I am blown-away with with the quality of the view this scope provides. I was concerned that my actual ability to see those tiny parts I bought the scope for would not match up to what I was seeing in those YouTube videos, but in reality this microscope matches those views others have shared. I'm now able to see the smallest details in crystal-clarity. This is a quality piece of equipment. My money has been well-spent. Thank you AmScope!

Amazing scope

I have wanted a stereo scope for about 30 years and finally purchased one and l am totally satisfied and amazed at how great and reasonably priced this one is. The website was amazingly difficult to search but I finally located just what I wanted and it came far quicker than I imagined. The only thing I would suggest is to include a 1/32 screwdriver to change the eyepieces and leave out the cheap smelly dust cover. Very happy!
