Great tux jacket, runs small

I'm a very standard off the rack 40S for suits and sport coats, but in this tuxedo and SuitShop suits I am a 42S (slim fit). I would say a slim fit 42S SuitShop suit or tuxedo is almost identically equivalent to a Nordstrom, Macys, Saks, or Bloomingdale's 40S slim (i.e. Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss, Michael Kors, Polo Ralph Lauren department store brands that are ubiquitous). My guess is that is probably true for the other suit/tuxedo sizes as well. This includes small fit differences between tuxedo jackets and suit jackets (tuxedo jackets are very slightly slimmer fitting in my experience as the intention is to look very tailored, and SuitShop is no exception). That said, once you know your "SuitShop size", I think this brand is a fantastic option to get very useable, slim-fit, stretch fabric suits and tuxedos at a fraction of other brands with little to no visible difference in drape or quality. Fabric technology has come a long way. You just do not need a pure wool, silk, or linen suit to look good wearing a suit or tux anymore (and most suits aren't "pure" fabrics anyway).
