Scratch on Light and installation issues

product had a scratch on one of the two black domes. There were no identifing marks on the mounting bracket for installtion nor did either of the two styles of machine screws work for setting the corret distance for the light mounting bracket to the light housing. Given the price I would've expected a mounting bracket that was more fluid for installation or some basic installation instrutions.
