This is my first Esterbrook and quite honestly could be my last—If I was a one pen person. The ebonite has an amazing feel in the hand and looks genuinely vintage. The clip also gives off a definite retro spark, with a touch of natural beauty in the hammered metal barrel band(?). One last thing I will say about the Lotus Green ebonite is it’s a bit more pale than I was expecting from the photos, however I am not just into this pen for the color. Gena’s Journaler nib is silky smooth and is absolutely an outstanding nib with just enough line variation to make my blocky handwriting look just a bit fancier. “New Esterbrook” really knocked it out of the park with this one in my opinion. Oh did I mention it has a spring loaded inner cap for some extra dry-out protection?
