Truly Intoxicating

These are such beautiful scents. Truly Intoxicating smells that make you take the deepest inhale. I really have a hard time choosing a favorite between Queen of the Night and Angel's Trumpet. Both of which smell like late nights in my mother's garden in late spring, the two of us sitting and talking, on the patio the flowers in bloom perfuming the garden. These scents are so familiar to me. Each of them remind me also of my mother's perfume collection from my childhood. Nocturnal tuberose is particularly reminiscent of one. All of these scents bring back fond memories from a simpler time in my life. One such memory goes as follows. Once when I was very young, I must have been between two and four years old I took my mother's collection of miniature perfume bottles into the closet to play. I admired the beauty of the scents and the design of the bottles, and then of course I poured them all out in the the corner of the carpeted closet. My mother was fuming, rightfully so, I had wasted all her expensive perfumes and made a lasting mess. That closet smelt overwhelming of a mixture of fifteen, twenty different perfumes for months. Which all mixed together was more of a miasma than a bouquet. My mother and I both look back and laugh now. Each of the scents in the Nocturnal Discovery Set remind me of different perfumes from my mothers collection. I wish I could remember the names, or the shapes of the bottles or something, all I know is they definatley suffered the same fate. It is truly lovely to be able to walk around and reminisce, and experience a small part of those memories again.

Stunning

These scents are so interesting. I really enjoyed everything but Angels Trumpet, as it did not agree with my skin. Still, I find that all three scents are incredible regardless of which I ended up with. Every vial was a treat, and the packaging is absolutely gorgeous every time.

Angel's teumpet is absolutely amazing! I really like how this is an affordable option to try new things instead of committing to a full scent and find out that you hate it!
