Glue Brush Can Complete with 11 mm Brush and Cap

I found that I could not live without the glue brush can.

I bought one of these about 3 years ago. While I had problems with the first one, Weaver Leather's excellent customer service took care of me beautifully. I do not use this on my smaller projects but when you have something big like a belt lining or notebook cover lining, this glue brush can is the only way to go if you want to get it done quickly without a ton of mess and glue stringers getting onto your project and workspace. My applicator finally bit the dust after several years (The pumping mechanism stopped working) and I was not planning on getting another one because of the cost...not only for the glue brush can itself, but for the additional brushes as well. Once I tried gluing from the bottle on a belt lining, I knew I had to get another glue brush can. In order to maintain my brushes, I soak a paper towel in acetone and then wipe off the glue from the brush. If you do not use the glue brush can for awhile and the glue clogs the brush, I was surprised to find that I can remove (unscrew) the brush and submerge it in a small jar filled with acetone for a couple of days. I was surprised because the acetone doesn't destroy the brush fibers and to can then "pick" the (now softened) glue out of the brush cavity.

This glue can is an amazing add to my workbench. I like the ease of controlling the amount of glue and how I am able to spread it without dripping "strings" of glue on other places. The cap seals the brush so it doesn't dry out or get hard.

Stuck

Not what I was expecting. Not sure if I did something wrong; whether you're supposed to empty and clean the can between uses. But my glue is completely stuck after one use and the can doesn't work anymore. I tried cleaning it out, as the glue was water soluble and still wet on the inside of the can. However, it never worked the same as it did the first time.
