This black solstice is a great piece of leather! The pull-up effect is different than the other colors from this line in that it doesn't necessarily make another, lighter color come up, but rather it creases so as to give more lines to reflect light. As with most pullups this gives it an aged/worn look. It's more supple than the other colors in the solstice line which is nice, and cuts really well. The flesh is finished and the color is struck through making this a great leather for any project needing 3/4oz leather! 10/10 for me.
