Mid Century Spindle Bed

Great value, beautiful bed

We are extremely happy with our purchase, and feel good knowing what we got is good for our health and the environment while being relatively affordable. Other reviews had mentioned the spindles being loose, but we found the opposite. They are really sturdy once inserted, and if properly installed the metal bracket that holds them in place is very reliable. Building was not hard, but I wouldn’t highly recommend having a drill, not just a screwdriver, as many of the screws need to be put into wood without predrilled holes.

Thid bed is GORGEOUS! super easy to assemble and absolutely perfect in our space. They write it in the instructions for a reason but I will say it again, teamwork makes the dream work and 2 people assembling together made it seamless and easy! So glad to have found Grain Wood at a great price with stellar quality.

Mid century spindle bed

So far so good. There were a couple of issues: 1) if we put the mattress directly on the slats, when making the bed you can really hurt your hands as the edges of the side boards are quite sharp. We ended up purchasing two “bunkie boards” that are each about 1.5 inches thick (since we couldn’t find a low-profile box spring that was 3 inches) and that definitely solved the problem. And 2) the plugs that are supposed to hide the screws on the four “legs” of the bed are too small and I’ve already lost one since it fell out and probly got vacuumed up. The bed is perfect in our space. I do love the way it looks and it is a really lovely piece of furniture.
