FPR Statesman Fountain Pen

Nice and perfectly weighted! It’s feels well built! I purchased this and a 14k flex nib separately and it’s the perfect combination! I have yet to see a better flex pen!

FPR Statesman Fountain pens

The Statesman is arguably the best amongst the FPR fountain pen lineup both in terms of build quality and value-for-money. I have bought 4 pieces of the Stateman fountain pen since it was launched, 2 of them are coupled with the FPR-FNF #6 Jowo-compatible 14K gold ultra flex nib units (purchased separately from FPR) and the other 2 are purchased with the FPR-FNF #6 Jowo-compatible ultra flex chrome nib unit option. Save for the Guru and Tansoshii Junior, I indeed have so far purchased all the series of FPR fountain pen including even the Kanwrite Heritage and the Ranga Madras that both carry the FPR ultra flex chrome or 14K gold nibs. To me the FPR 14K gold ultra flex nib coupled with ebonite feed is the gem. That the Tanoshii Urushi Art pen, the Tanoshii and the Statesman fountain pens can house the screw-in FPR-FNF nib units adds tremendous value to these beautiful pens from the FPR. Most of all, the problem of ink leakage has never happened with these two models so far. I have been hooked on to using them for daily writing as well calligraphic practice. For fountain pen enthusiasts, the FPR Statesman with the FPR-FNF #6 Jowo-compatible 14K gold ultra flex nib unit is a must have.

Great First Flex Nib

I'm very new to calligraphy and wanted to get a starter flex nib. It works wonderfully. The only issue is that sometimes ink doesn't flow through and I have to adjust the piston( that could be a ink issue or a me issue). Highly recommend.
