Love Hate Relation
I purchased the "Triple Threat Combo", but have only practiced with the wedge and 7-iron. I want to get the feel of the irons before jumping over to the driver. It has been said that golf is a game of opposites and I am living proof of that statement. My first 20 shots with both the wedge and 7-iron resulted in shots I never hit with my normal clubs. Both clubs yielded shots nearly in the sweet spot every time. For once in my golfing life, I could actually tell where the clubhead was during my entire swing. The clubs forced me to slow my swing down with a much-improved tempo. In my excitement of striking the ball so well I would sometimes get a little anxious and try to put a little more into the strike. The club didn't like me rushing the downswing and provided immediate feedback. Now for the downside, and I welcome anyone's comments that can help me with my dilemma. When I switch over to my regular clubs and try to hit them it is a disaster. After hitting the Lag Shot clubs and then trying mine, one would think I had never hit a golf ball before. My clubs now feel so light in my hands that I want to swing way too fast, zero tempo, and every ball hit is a pull left. I cannot hit my clubs worth a flip, but put the Lag Shot wedge and 7-iron in my hands and I'm a ball striking machine. A few things to note about me and my golf game/equipment that might help someone provide me guidance. I am a few weeks shy of turning 70 and have been playing golf for 55 years. I have never been a slicer, but have tendencies to draw the ball and sometimes hooking the ball. I was professionally fitted for my clubs 5 years ago. The fitter put me in Srixon Z 745 irons with dynamic gold S300 shafts. My average score pre-covid was 87 and post covid 98. Pre-covid 7-iron distance 160-165 yards and post covid 130-135 yards. I love my Lag Shot clubs and would recommend them to anyone wanting to improve their tempo and ball striking. It's possible my Lag Shot clubs are telling me that I need to go get fitted for clubs, and maybe benefit from senior flex shafts.

Amazing product straight off the bat. first round after using the lagshot xl driver on the range I was getting better ball contact, felt like I was getting all of the ball more often. Better accuracy and distance would be about the same as previous although I was swinging far slower and still hitting it 240+ every time, so basically it has taught me how to still hit long with ease rather than a faster more erratic driver swing that caused more missed fairways. Havnt tried the 7i yet but have faith in it, the 54 wedge was great too had a quick go at that.

Lags shot XL
I bought the combo set and really enjoying it. Great for feedback and tempo. Also so much fun when hit it right especially with the driver. Thinking of gaming the driver as when get it right it goes!!
