Though short, the shelf-shading this sencha receives gives it a distinct shaded aroma, a sweet and umami-rich taste, and a smooth and silky texture.

Not my preferred flavor, but very high-quality
This one is very vegetal and smells a bit like spinach, which isn't my preference; I like more floral senchas better. At first I had trouble with the first infusion being bitter as well, but reducing the steep time to 45-50 seconds solved that problem and helped the sweetness come out. The aroma became sweeter as well, which improved the experience for me. It's a complex flavor, and a more sensitive brew than I'm used to, so once I got the hang of it I enjoyed it more. For those who prefer snapper, less-umami senchas like me may not like this one as much.
