Saalt Steamer

Pretty cool gadget. I’ve only used it to sterilize my cup before using it for the first time. It’s super easy to use and I love that I don’t have to use distilled water, can just use tap. You pour a tiny bit of water into a well at the base, place your cup upside down on it and replace the cover. Flip the switch and come back in 10 mins or so. I expected it to look like a teakettle with steam coming out the back but it didn’t. Do be careful to let the cup cool completely before inserting (duh lol). Overall easier than trying to have a dedicated pot to boil my cup in on the stove.

While not necessary, I like how convenient the steamer makes to clean my disc. It works great for me, and I appreciate being able to sanitize my disc in my own bathroom!

I bought the Saalt steamer for the second time after mine quit working after 1.5 years, it’s worked great for me. I’m a college student so when I travel home for summer/Christmas break I’ll take the steamer with me, and for shorter week or weekend trips when I don’t have my own bathroom I’ll just bring disposable discs instead. I noticed after several months that my reusable disc would smell even after using the steamer, but using alcohol wipes to clean it off completely got rid of the smell, so those two cleaning techniques are a great pair.
