Some good. Some not so good.
Have both a 7'6" and 9'9". Love both rods for how light they are and how nice they feel in the hand. But I've come to find that the telescopic piece can be more of a nuisance quite often. Although the rods are easier to travel with compared to rods of same lengths, the telescopic part lends itself to a few negatives: 1. It's either all extended, or retracted. You cannot choose to use it partially extended unless you have something to jam the extendable piece at your desired length. 2. Storing the telescopic piece relies on a piece of foam that Mustad shipped the rod with to keep the blank from 'shifting' during transport. Very easy to lose this. You're not required to store it with the foam shim but it helps reduce the blank shifting when traveling. 3. The telescopic section lends itself to being an entry for water to enter into the blank. The rod isn't advertised as specifically only for freshwater so if you use it in the salt, better find a way to rinse it out nicely. (Salmon can also be fished in the salt up here in the PNW). 4. The rod feels nice in the hand but these are not Fuji guides or Fuji seat. Lastly, while the rods are indeed easier to travel with compared to same length rods, none are necessarily small enough to be really portable as I had hoped. And the hook keeper is an absolute afterthought. I might get the 8'6"as well if they're still on sale.

Great rods for a great price
Purchased the rods because they were on sale and it’s hard to resist a bargain. I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the rods. The rods were beautifully made with high quality components. All of the guides were wound on the blank straight and true. The rod has a nice action but with plenty of backbone to muscle a big fish into submission.
