Is it necessary? Well no. However I have had zero buyers remorse about this product. I love this mod so much! Not only is the controller functioning as it should it's also fun to customize whenever I want. I like how easy it is to turn on/off and customize the led lights. Really happy to support a small business that is committed to stellar customer service!
