We appreciate the Nanit breathing band because it provides an extra peace of mind for parents and caregivers by monitoring our baby’s breathing motion without attached wires, sensors or electronics directly on the baby. The soft cotton material quality is comfortable, easy to use over pajamas, washed easily and integrates seamlessly with the Nanit Pro camera system. This makes nighttime and daytime monitoring feel less stressful for both new and experienced parents. A major advantage is that it will alert caregivers through the app if breathing motion is not detected, helping many families sleep more confidently with a piece of mind. The tech is very good and light. The Nanit breathing band only works with Nanit cameras and may occasionally lose tracking if the baby rolls or if the band shifts during sleep. The breathing band sizing can be inconsistent and that the system works best with proper camera placement and lighting and also is dependent on this size of your baby. Overall, the Nanit breathing band is widely viewed as a helpful and reassuring addition for parents who already use the Nanit ecosystem and want a non-invasive breathing monitoring option for their baby. Additionally, it’s not a one-size fits all but your baby may or may not like the band too so it depends. I have tried the breathing band over a swaddle too without making it too tight but just right to make it be able to monitor. Again, I don’t use it every day but a few times per month; I also purchased two for one being used while the other one is being washed. Overall, the rating is 4 of 5 stars and recommended if you have Nanit.

The Reassurance We Needed

We purchased our Nanit after our daughter was hospitalized with pneumonia, and it has brought us so much peace of mind. Being able to check on her breathing and sleep patterns helped ease a lot of the anxiety we were feeling as parents. The video quality is excellent, notifications are reliable, and the app is easy to use. We’re so grateful to have found a monitor that gives us both reassurance and better sleep.
