If you are new to the system, it may not make sense. A magic garment to keep you warm and cool as needed? Sounds ridiculous. Bought it refused to wear it when it got warm. But wore it so much when it was cold i never went out without one. As the seasons progress I shed every other layer but this one. It is by far best kit I have ever used. Dont let the price, or your wife, stop you. Buy it, not only will you be happier, you'll be unstoppable in the field. As to size, I cant assist on this one. I have them in Large and XL and other than colors, I can't tell which is which. Its a stretchy material that is suppose to have that athletic fit. In which both seem it have. 5'10- #190 maybe i am in that in between size.

Looks & fits great! Merino wool is top shelf.
