I haven't used it much and confidently can say that it doesn't feed fabric well, certain doesn't sow knits and length of stitch choices is too limited for what I had hoped for. Works for basic sowing on cotton. I want to return it sad to say.

Jacob and Tyler are just the best. I bought this Janome for classes and travel. It's perfect! The problem ii had when I wrote the first review was my own error. Jacob fixed it on the spot! Disregard my first review.

Love it! I am a beginner sewer, just started sewing about 9 months ago. This machine was an upgrade from another machine with less features. I am quite surprised by the ease of use, even with button holes and darn stitching. I have recently enrolled in a beginner quilting class, where I hope to expand my knowledge of sewing. I don’t know that I will become a quilter, but I hope to learn more about the features of the 3160 and the use of my new machine.
