The Lazer+ Golf GPS Rangefinder is an excellent device. Its best feature is that it operates completely independently from your phone, and the GPS-assisted pin locking is extremely accurate. Because it cross-checks the laser reading with the front and back green distances, misreads are almost nonexistent. Battery life is also impressive — I consistently get two full rounds on a single charge. One thing I’ve learned is that if you’re starting on the back nine, it’s best to wait until you’re standing on the 10th tee before powering it on. This ensures the GPS locks onto the correct hole. If I turn it on earlier, it defaults to Hole 1, and I haven’t found a way to manually switch it to Hole 10 without restarting the unit. Having it on the correct hole is important so the GPS distances match the layout. I should also note that my first unit was defective. I contacted customer support, and they walked me through some troubleshooting, then emailed a prepaid return label. Once they received the unit, they diagnosed it and shipped a replacement within about a day. The turnaround was extremely fast, and the new unit has worked flawlessly for my last eight rounds. Overall, the Lazer+ has been a great addition to my game. K. Cler

Good, But Misleading
The clarity and accuracy are good, but it is slow to lock onto the pin. Also, I sent is a question and was told that “embedded GPS” meant the range finder did not have to be constantly connected to your cell phone via bluetooth to get the front, middle, back yardages. That was a lie. Overall, I am keeping it but it is mot as good as advertised.

Works ok
Took it out for the first time and it would not lock onto the flag. Very frustrating for such an expensive range finder. My cheap 20 dollar one locks on faster. Tried it again and it seems to work ok hopefully it continues. Not sure why it didn’t work properly the first time.
