Would have kept these but the crotch (the zipper) was too long and made me feel like I was sagging

Nice pants but some perplexing size variations

I have 5 pairs of these pants ranging from light to darker colors. In my experience, the darker colors shrank more when I washed them, so much so that I returned them for a replacement. The darker colors are also tighter before washing them—a 34 waist fits more like a 33—whereas the lighter colors, like khaki, fit like a true 34. Am I the only one experiencing this?
