I've been looking for a replacement glass dip pen for a while after my last one was stolen, and it was such a relief to find this. The straight/columnar barrel is comfortable to write with in a way the bulbous ones aren't. And the tip holds ink well and allows for fairly fine linework. In terms of width, it's thicker than a Bic ballpoint but thinner than a fountain pen.

Perfect ink sampler pen

I chose this pen because it fits in the ink sample tubes for dipping. I was surprised and impressed at how long you can use it on a single dip. It lets me test inks with an easy cleanup afterwards. It is a nice writer in its own write as well. Very pleased!
