Ecowitt WH57 Lightning Detection Sensor & Shelter

Very easy

Once I actually read the instructions to put the screen together, was very simple to attach to the fence, console picked it up and off it went. Do insert batteries away from eletrical items otherwise you have a day of a 1000 lightning strikes.

Lightning detector

I bought this to expand my system. It was easy to install, and it set up straight away on my consol. It is hard to find a PWS with this feature in the UK. Most lightning equipted PWS come from the US which can not be intergrated into an 868mhz system. I had to set it to minimum sensitivity as it was picking up our boiler ignighting. I have placed this outdoors and was eagerly awaiting a storm. Sure enough a few days later we had one and the results were incredible. If tracking lightning is your thing I would highly recomend this add on sensor.

All set up

Well what can I say? Am just waiting for lightning to be honest so as soon as we get some I will update this message. :-) It was so easy to set up just pop the batteries in check the switches on the back and put together the shield which is just 1 screw to hold it in place and then bolt to to the post hey presto done in about 10 minutes if that :-) It goes well with my wittboy :-}
