I have owned several dry bags and abuse them in the elements!! The rockagator products hold up considerably better than any others that I’ve owned. The design is also very thought out!! Great product!!

Great quality but missing a few details

There are 2 or 3 things I love about the 40L and 2 or 3 that frustrate me. On the positive side, the material is super rugged and the bag feels like it will take a beating and still go on strong. There are multiple pockets that are deceptively large to keep gear separated and it’s 100% waterproof which is a plus in and of itself. For criticism I’d say 3 things: 1: The shoulder straps aren’t really comfortable. Maybe it’s because I have broad shoulders but the sternum strap barely fits around me and the lack of a “yoke” means all the weight is pulling on your shoulders. 2: Don’t think the extra pockets mean you’ll be organized. They’re a nice addition and give you general gear separation but there is no “tactical” organization involved. Changing out the front pocket for one that opens a bit more and has some organizational options for knifes, rope, chem lights, etc. would be awesome. 3: Don’t expect to get more than a 16oz bottle of water in the side sleeves. I was pretty bummed at this one; ideally I’d want zippered side pockets that will comfortably hold a 1 liter nalgene. However, I can’t think of anyone who goes on an adventure requiring a 40L bag but only 2 16oz bottles of water. All in all the bag is good but not great. I’ll probably be returning it as my needs for this run are pretty specific.

Comfortable as a backpack

The day after I bought this bag, I wore it to hike in Zion National Park for a day. It exceeded my expectations because most dry bags are not really that comfortable. The adjustments to the straps were very adjustable and after the hike, I realized that I could use this bag for everyday carry especially because it has a removable latop sleeve.
