BRAZIL SERRA NEGRA - A sweet dark roast

REVIEW OF FLAVOR Smokey and woody flavor while drinking. After the swallow, a delayed sweetness lingers, similar to when water activates the essential oils in anise. Clean combination of a dark and sweet roast. BREW METHOD Medium grind of about 31g to brew in an XL (2-cup) AeroPress using a wetted paper filter above a metal filter for a clean brew with no grounds. Water temp was just under 200F (about 20 seconds after boiling). Filled about 75% to let bloom rise and subside. Then slowly mixed with the AeroPress paddle. Added remaining 25% of water after it was calm. Total steep was 2 minutes.

Best coffee I’ve had in a long time

This blend is awesome: smooth, perfect mouthfeel and great notes that pair well with most of my favorite foods. Will be back for more!
